"The Bondil shop in Moustiers-Sainte-Marie has a large selection of faïence, including traditional patterns and more modern styles. Isabelle graciously explained the history of the classic patterns and aspects of production, such as the difference between the grand and petit feu techniques. Her mother (now in her 80s!) still manages the atelier where all of their pieces are made. I had the opportunity to bring friends to the shop twice last month and everyone appreciated her warm welcome and the chance to learn about this lovely art. Thank you, Isabelle!"

"I have been shopping at this store since early 2000. We saw this charming shop on a small square and it looked like a romantic postcard of Provence. We went in and had the most fun couple of hours. The owner is a delight and so knowledgable. Everywhere you look in the shop there is a different design and or type of faience. There are the typical pieces and modern pieces- all are gorgeous. We have ordered and purchase many pieces over the years. When friends and family request recommendations for purchases of Faience I recommend this shop-- the quality is worth the trip."

"You must visit this shop! We wandered into this shop during a short visit to Moustriers. The shopkeeper enthusiastically told us about the history of ceramics in the town. She explained the meaning of the various illustrations on the pieces and the connection between the shape of the plates and the fountains at the Palace of Versailles. It was such a lovely experience and we bought two beautiful plates as a keepsake of this trip. To top it off, we realized several hours later after dinner that we had left a jacket in the shop. It was our last day on the trip and we had an early morning flight the next day. We were resigned to never seeing the jacket again. Upon returning to our hotel, the jacket was magically hanging on the door to our room. The shop owner must have delivered it to our hotel while we were at dinner. We had mentioned where we were staying in passing. It's amazing that she remembered it and made the effort to return the jacket. This is a true testament to the hospitality of the region. A very special thank you to the wonderful people at Bondil."
